Bold Bobby Pin Styles: Would You Wear Them?

There’s a current trend toward visible bobby pins that’s making hair styling way more varied and less fraught with frustration.

No longer do you have to worry about tucking in all those pins to pull off a seemingly effortless look.

Fun options include creating patterns like chevron or even symbols like a hashtag. #HotHair

You can also cluster the pins together to frame the face and hold back bangs, or try your hand at making basic shapes like triangles. Make a messy half-up do with random, criss-crossed pins, or tidy them up in orderly rows. Use pins that blend in with your hair tones, or go bold with bright colors.

We’ve seen everyone from celebs to street style-savvy gals experimenting with bobby pins. The cool thing about the trend is that it works on curls, waves, and straight hair. Plus, you can combine it with braids or twists, and you can make as simple or as complex of designs as you like.

What do you think of this new hair trend? Will you try it out?

Oh yeah, I’m digging it. I even got bobby pins that are the opposite of my hair color (I have brown hair, they are blonde), and they look so fun.

Not digging the geometric shapes thing. I say no. Nothing wrong with one or two visible, but I honestly just don’t like the look of triangles and stuff.

Haha this is pretty fun, I’ve always seen Bobby pins as a practical thing not a fashion-y thing. It would be nice to be able to do something different with them.
