“My design pulled from a lot of mid-century shapes and kitschy holiday ornaments,” says graphic designer Erynn. “It was fun to come up with simple-yet-cute embellishments for each ornament and find the balance at which they all work together as an illustration!”

“I took visual motifs inspired by vintage holiday cards and used them as elements in a larger, kaleidoscopic arrangement,” says Ryan. “I wanted something that would look like a delicate, intricate pattern from far away, but still fun and festive when viewed up close.”

“With my design, I wanted to evoke childhood memories of a holiday candyland with this simple-but-quirky pattern of gumdrops, candy canes, and gingerbread men,” says Sam.
