Who: Lauren of Someone Like You
What: 1960’s vintage bathing suit
Where: My local thrift store in Mansfield, Ohio
How much: $4
When I use it: “I’ve been hankering for a vintage swimsuit for years and have always come up empty-handed because of the high prices. While scourging my local thrift store at the beginning of the summer, I gasped with delight when I happened upon this little ditty amongst some risque ’80s two-pieces. Women should feel beautiful, confident, and sexy in one-pieces just like they do in two-pieces. This suit makes me feel all three when I’m lazing around the pool in my cat-eye sunnies and a fashion magazine.”
Shopping tips: “Never give up on finding that ‘dream’ item. It will pop up someday in the most unexpected place.”

Wow that’s gorgeous! I’ll definitely keep an eye out for one when Summer hits us in December 🙂
So gorgeous and feminine. I love it!
Congratulations on the great find! I feel like good swimsuits are the holy grail of vintage 🙂
Oh my gosh. She looks so lovely and retro. This suit was made for her, for sure!
This is amazing! I am so jealous. All I can ever find at my thrift store are holey t-shirts and extra-large muumuus.

Et tu, tutu?
Beautiful, you inspired me Lauren. I just have no words.
mmmmmmmmm
What an awesome find! And your lipstick looks incredible, too. Might I ask what brand/shade it is?
Hello Cindy! It’s Lauren, the gal in the photo above 🙂 It’s a shade called ‘summer red’ #47, but a Dutch brand of makeup called Isadora. Hope this helps ♥
