Global Executive Director of Creative Artistry for Stila, Sarah Lucero, explained the current obsession to Elle. “It will fool everyone into thinking you just have gorgeous, perfect skin, and that you’re not wearing much makeup.” You can use a brow brush, eye shadow, or a specially designed freckle pencil to emulate the freckle effect. Sparingly and lightly add the dots to your nose, cheeks, and even eyelids. Ensure your marks are not perfectly round or evenly spaced so they look more authentic. Vary them in size, too. Complete the look with a quick dusting of powder to slightly blend in the freckles. A quick YouTube search for “fake freckles” yields a plethora of results, instructing how to subtly add dots to your makeup routine. Marie Claire has quick tips, too. Would you sport fake freckles, or do you think they’re just silly? Either way, this novel trend has us seeing spots. freckle3 Image via She Said Beauty freckle2 Image via View From the Middle Ages freckle5 Image via Tumblr freckle8 Image via SHAREIGHTr freckle1 Image via YouTube

Seeing as how I already have 5 billion freckles, I don’t see any need to sport fake ones. I do think the fake ones are super cute, though. However, I don’t like my own real ones. What gives? Haha.

Now, I don’t think I would recommend fake freckles too much. I would prefer that you have natural freckles…I feel that us women ought to be all the more content with our natural beauty, especially if we w ere born with freckles. Us women mustn’t try too hard to appear beautiful. We should learn to be content with the beauty that we already have…on the inside! We are beautiful…regardless, either with or without makeup! We are beautiful, anyway! Why? Because, we are fearfully…and wonderfully made in the eyes of Almighty God! Makeup artists, especially…the celebrity makeup artists don’t know this…but, all makeup does is just decorate the face. It doesn’t really make a woman beautiful, in showbiz…the outward appearance is important. Why? Because, you’d have to look a certain way in order to be in front of the cameras! Inward beauty can’t be seen, so therefore…it’s seldom noticeable! But, outward beauty is seen, so therefore it is noticeable! So, that is why most women rely on looking like they are beautiful…,they want to be liked…due to their outward appearance. They want to be noticed for how beautiful they look.
True beauty is who we are inwardly…who God made us to be. We as women need to learn to rely on our real beauty…the true, real beauty that we already have that’s deep inside of us! No beauty ointment can measure up to that! I don’t rely on beauty ointments to make me beautiful…because I know I am already beautiful! I don’t have freckles…but, I’m okay with that!

I think it’s ridiculous how beauty and fashion constantly seem to be trying to make us want to be something we are not. This seems like another example of trying to make us want to be something we aren’t. It is like women with straight hair always want curly hair, or women with a small chest want to have an ample chest. We all seem to want what we don’t have. If you have freckles then love them because they are part of who you are and that is beautiful. If you don’t have freckles coveting them will only bring you unhappiness. As women we should make a stand and say I love who I am and I love all the beauty I was born with.

I’m not a fan of fake. I think we as women should be confident in how we natrually look. I have two little girls and I want them to know that their differences make them who they are – they are beautiful in their own natural skin.

I love natural freckles and moles and perfectly clear skin and everything in between even wrinkles. I don’t think we need to add fake freckles. I can see doing it if your freckles are not evenly distributed between either side of your face just to even them out. Be yourself and love who you are and make the best of what you have. No I am not dissing anyone who wants to do it.
