Looking for an uncomplicated updo that’ll make you feel like the belle of the winter ball? This simple, sophisticated look is perfect for upscale evenings, office parties, laid-back sing-a-longs, and every festivity in between — and best of all, it’s crazy-easy to master. All you’ll need is a hair elastic, some bobby pins, and of course, some holiday tunes to help get you in the seasonal spirit!

Step 1:

Take two equal sections of hair from the front and set them aside.

Step 2:

Gather the rest of your hair into a low ponytail that sits at the center nape of your neck.

Step 3:

Divide the right front section of hair into two equal parts. Then, sweep the top section around the back of your head and securing it with a bobby pin. Repeat the same thing on the other side.

Step 4:

Repeat the same exact thing with the remaining hair on each side. Try to tuck in the ends and hide your bobby pins as best you can to give the look a clean, smooth finish. Your ‘do should be looking pretty fab by this point, so feel free to stop here and rock these locks. If you want even more festive fun, move on to step 5!

Step 5:

Wrap your ponytail into a bun, and secure it with bobby pins. Spritz with hairspray to keep everything in place. What a fabulous finish to your party look!

Here it is from the front.

+ Psst! Wanna make this even more festive? Top things off with this gorgeous holiday wreath crown!
