Minimum Effort, Maximum Impact

Some mornings, a minimum effort is all you can muster! But that doesn’t mean you can’t put together a lovely look in under 15 minutes (not counting shower time — that’s on you).

Here’s our handy guide, featuring a fast ‘n’ fab makeup routine and couldn’t-be-easier ensembles that will have you out the door — and looking outstanding — in virtually no time at all.

5-Minute Makeup

The key to this look is a couple simple eyeshadow tricks. Check ’em out in the steps below!

1. Start with clean, moisturized skin!

2. Apply a light foundation all over, then fill in brows with a pencil.

3. Next, add a darker shadow to the outside of each eye, a touch of shimmery highlighter to the inner corners, and a swipe of mascara. (This helps the eyes appear more open and ‘awake’!)

4. For a flush of color, apply a pop of blush on the apples of cheeks.

5. Finish with a rosy lip stain. And, boom — you’re done!

Easy Ensemble Equation

When you have to look put-together and polished in a matter of minutes, this is the formula to follow: Pretty dress + chic shoes + beautiful bag.

A dress is a no-brainer! You don’t have to fuss with matching (or clashing), or the proportions of tops ‘n’ bottoms. In the outfits above, we pumped up the fun factor with peppy prints and pops of color to give ’em a li’l extra oomph. Want to get the look?

Most days I end up with less makeup and more outfit pieces than this, and I have been craving another work dress just because it is so quick and easy. I’ve really been digging getting at least a foundation and lipstick/gloss on though. A high-quality lip color just feels really good and can either be subtle like this or vivid and eye-catching.

I couldn’t agree with you more, Ciara! A little lipstick can go a long way. 🙂
