Inspired by spring’s return, as well as the pastel styles we’re loving right now, we present this pretty, floral-infused manicure. Take a moment to stop and paint the roses — then relish in the oohs and ahs you’re sure to earn for this sweet look!
What You Need:
- Pastel purple
- Creamy white
- Pale pink
- Light green
- Dark green
- Top coat
- Dotting tool
- Nail striping tape
- Fine nail art brush
Paint your nails pastel purple, and wait for the polish to dry completely. Feel free to do this the day before, or give yourself 30 minutes to an hour of drying time. Once dry, apply striping tape in triangle shapes like above.
This step is easy enough! Simply paint your triangles creamy white. You may need two coats to build up the opacity.
Once your white polish has dried completely, gently peel off the striping tape. Then, using a dotting tool and your pink pastel polish, apply two to four dots on each triangle. Doesn’t it look like a pastel pizza? Just you wait!
Time to bring your roses to life! You have two options for this. The first is to draw C-shapes on your pink dots with your nail art tool and red nail polish. That’s what we did on the top nail. The second option is to create more of a swirled effect. For this, apply a touch of red to each wet pink dot, and swirl it around. You can go back in with your pink polish again for even more swirls. Just have fun with it, and don’t think too hard!
Now for the leaves! We used our fine nail art brush and bright green polish to create one to two lines on each rosette.
The final step is to go back in with your darker green nail polish and draw over your light green. This creates some depth and makes your roses look even more life-like. Finish up with a top coat and you’re good to go.
