Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is in full effect, and we are all about the makeup this year. There are fresh faces everywhere. Think soft and natural skin, nude or pink lips and natural brows. We’re also seeing a lot of color on eyelids, some dramatic (hello super smokey eyes and chunky gold glitter), along with pops of soft, matte color.
Tibi was right in line with that trend. Their models wore the tiniest touch of pink on the center of their lids and on their lips, keeping everything else very light and neutral. We loved it so much we had to recreate it, and now you can, too!
Prime Lids and Apply Sheer, Matte Shadow
After you’ve prepped your skin with a moisturizer or a sheer foundation, apply eyeshadow primer to your lids all the way up to the brow bone. Follow up with a dusting of a matte eyeshadow that matches your skin tone.
Add a Little Pink
With a fluffy round brush and bright pink blush or eyeshadow, gently apply color to the center of your lids. Start light and build up to your desired intensity, then blend it out.
Faintly Line Upper Lash Line
No heavy eyeliner here. Instead, use an eyeliner brush and a matte brown shadow that’s two to three shades darker than your skin and line your upper lash line.
Apply Mascara to Top Lashes
Give yourself a coat or two of mascara, but only do the top lashes.
Apply Pink Lipstick
Pick up some lipstick with a flat brush and swipe on your lips. This will keep the color sheer and let your lip’s natural texture shine through more, which is what we’re going for.
And that’s it! Do you like it? Maybe try it with a little orange, purple or even green! The options are endless.
