Curtain Call: Meet the Models

This spring we hit the beach boardwalk of Santa Cruz and the colorful streets of Capitola for a sun-drenched romp by the bay. But we didn’t do it alone. We were accompanied by our talented team of models. And these gals do more than simply rock a cute frock. Meet the models who add a little glam to our April collection and take a peek behind the scenes.

Meet Courtney
Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Courtney sings jazz and owns a summer camp startup in Compton. She describes her personal style as “sassy AF.” She loves crop tops and wide-leg pants.

Meet Kelsey
Kelsey hails from Columbia, South Carolina. Her goal? Be Spotify famous for making awesome playlists. This spring she’s looking forward to festivals. Maybe she’ll discover a few more tunes to add to her musical repertoire.

Meet Diana
This Baltimore native can be found painting, reading, cooking, and gardening. This spring you’ll find her in Iceland. She can’t wait to see the Northern Lights and chill in the Blue Lagoon.

Meet Lyvana
Lyvanna describes her personal style as “unapologetic and always changing along with my personality and mood.” When she’s not modeling, you can find this LA local painting, reading, and wandering.

Meet Hannah
This self-described girlie-girl says her style changes day to day. When she’s not modeling, you’ll probably find her petting puppies. She has a super soft spot for these cuddly critters. Another LA insider, this spring she’s looking forward to spending her days at the beach and nights outside with friends. And of course…indulging in ice cream!

Meet Anna
With a penchant for the outdoors, Anna loves fishing and gardening in her hometown of Pittsfield, Illinois.

Meet Valyn
This model-actress can be found traveling, gem hunting, thrifting, rollerblading, painting, and baking cupcakes. This spring she’s looking forward to pastels and prints. “Growing up in Washington State, every April there’s the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. Fields and fields of every variety of tulip as far as the eye can see. Definitely one of my favorite activities during spring!”

That’s a wrap! Keep an eye out for more memorable ladies in months to come.

About Turi

When Turi isn’t blogging, you can find her nose behind a book. But reading isn’t her only pastime. She loves running (cue jogging stroller), taste-testing pizza and burgers, and working on the next great American novel. Her latest homage to all things literary? Her son is named after writer Dashiell Hammett. How apropos.

All are so naturally and authentically beautiful! And Hey! I’m a Diana from Baltimore too! 🙂

Found an interesting typo, thought I’d help out.

“With a penitent for the outdoors, Anna loves fishing and gardening in her hometown of Pittsfield, Illinois.”

It should be “penchant,” not “penitent.”

      Thanks for the catch, Haley!

Lovely article! Super happy to see someone talk about our Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, on Modcloth of all places!!

Hey! I thought I recognized the Boardwalk and Venetian Courts in the background! Fun to see my home town as a backdrop for a photo shoot (also, everyone here dresses like that; it’s a perfect fit)

I find it interesting that plus size models weren’t included here. Only the traditional beauties got attention and full body photos. Walmart / Jet influence already being felt?

As a plus sized girl I was looking forward to seeing the plus size models. When do we get to meet them?
