Share the Joy This Holiday Season! – Updated

You can’t hide your grin as you watch your BFF tear into her gift. She’d been eying the Whipped Butter Dress for ages, so you knew it’d make the perfect present. As the wrapping paper falls to the floor, your best friend lifts the lid off the box, and a squeal of joy escapes her. “Oh my gosh. I love this dress! I love you!” she yells, and there are warm, fuzzy feelings all around… Now, spread that holiday cheer in our Share the Joy video contest!

Whether you’re presenting a present to a pal, giving gifts to your fantastic family, or you’re the recipient of a plethora of wonderful wares, we want to see the genuine joy that great ModCloth gifts bring. Just how you want to capture that magical moment is up to you – show off your ModCloth swag by yourself, co-star with your cousins, or, if you want to go for the gold with authentic, unrehearsed rapture, you could even finagle a way to covertly film your family and friends as they gleefully give and receive ModCloth commodities! Ready for the rules? Here they are…

  • Upload your very merry video to your personal YouTube account. Please include the words “Share the ModCloth Joy” within your video’s title. No YouTube account? Signing up for one is not only easy, it’s free!
  • Videos should be no longer than 5 minutes, and should feature only royalty-free or stock music. (Jamendo, Opsound, and Audiofarm are a few sweet sites where you can find tunes!)
  • Add your short ‘n’ sweet film by clicking the “Video Comments” section under our Share the Joy video on YouTube, then clicking “Attach a Video” and uploading yours! Or simply click this link.
  • All video entries must be posted by 11:59 p.m. ET on January 7, 2011.
  • You may submit as many entries as you’d like, but only if they feature different gifts and experiences!
  • Two lucky winners will be randomly chosen to receive a $250 gift certificate.

So, grab your video camera, and get gifty! We just can’t wait to see all the spectacular submissions, and share in your heartfelt holiday joy.

Read our Official Contest Rules for more details.

I truly love your styles of clothing…. They are like different poems, each of them tell a unique story, one right after the other, unwinding and curving every aspect of ones body…. 🙂

Well I opened my modcloth present from my mom today, but they sent me the wrong dress! I think the surprise on my face when I thought she had picked out a strapless lacey mini dress for me isn’t exactly type of surprised reaction ModCloth was looking for. Haha.

Haha oh dear! We’re so sorry about the mix up; hopefully someone from Customer Care has helped you get your real dress already! Thanks for being so good-humored about this, though, Sara! You rock!
