You didn’t think we were done yet, did you? Our first post about our mom style icons just wasn’t enough, so, behold: Round two of our beloved ModMoms, as inspired by our Inherited Hauteness Contest, which was in turn inspired by the book My Mom, Style Icon.

“I’m always impressed by my mom’s adventuresome spirit. In this 1974 picture, she’s in Guatemala, and I smile to see that even her traveling clothes are cute. In other photos of my mom, you can see how her free spirit translated into her style – and subsequently into mine, as proven by this blog post from last year!” – Hannah, Writing Development Editor, of her globe-trotting mama on the left.

“My mom has really effortless style that I’ve always coveted. She was something of a hippie back in the day, although she denies it. I love the earthy colors she wears and how she always looks at ease.” – Turi, Public Relations Specialist, of her boho-chic mama on the right.

“My mom was quite the pageant queen and won several titles. Her talent was baton twirling.” – Ashley L., Social Media Specialist, of her prize-winning parent on the left.

“My mother turns heads everywhere she goes. She is known for being able to throw a beautiful, last-minute dinner party after work while dressed to the nines.” – Grant, Merchandise Stylist, of his glamorous mom on the right.

“My mom (left) was so glamorous and fashionable, which she definitely learned from her mother (right). My mom’s style has changed over the decades alongside fashion, and she currently styles herself with subdued clothes and loads of beautiful jewelery (most of which she makes herself).” – Mini, Graphic Design Team Lead, of the generations of fashionable moms in her family tree!

“My mom has always had a natural eye for color, and I wish I inherited even a sliver of her artistic talent!” –Cindy, Writer and Content Strategist, of her color-coordinated mom!

“This photo was taken when someone from LIFE Magazine came to her school to take photos of current fashion!” – Samantha K., Designer Relations Manager, of her lively mother on the left.

“Though I sadly did not inherit her lovely red locks, I obviously got my obsession for clothes from my mom.” – Molly K., Fashion Writing Team Lead, of her picturesque parent on the right.

“My mom rules. She came to Pittsburgh from Warsaw, Poland in the early ’80s, and met my dad a few years later. This photo was taken at her bridal shower, I think. I wish I could pull off a white pencil skirt!” – ModStylist Jess, of her chic mother on the left.

“My mom’s not really my style icon since I don’t generally dress in lady clothes, haha. But ,I think she looks pretty darn sassy and stylin’ in her striped mini dress and black patent heels!” – Richard, Marketing Writing Team Lead, of his marvelous mother on the right.

These are so rad! I bet all the mommas featured in this post are enjoying seeing us get a kick out of them, too! 🙂

These posts came out so great! I LOVE not only how cool our moms look (and how much we look like them!), but seeing how many of us here at ModCloth adore and admire our mothers.

    Hey, Samantha,
