Last week, we re-launched our digital storefront (for desktop, mobile, and apps) onto a brand new commerce platform. Since then, our beloved community (yes, YOU!) has been great in sharing with us your first impressions, feedback, and ideas for what else you’d like to see changed or added in the future. Thank you!!
Some of you have asked, “Why did you change the site/platform? It worked perfectly before!” We can understand that — the old site did work pretty well, and though we’re working through some hiccups as we transition onto the new platform, we know it’ll be even better than before. We understand change can be difficult. There were many reasons we needed to update, and the easiest way to explain it is this: the old site was like our first car. We fell in love with it as much as you did, but over the years, we found ourselves driving this old, well-loved (but a little beat-up) classic. While we had many amazing years together, we’re now ready for an upgrade to a newer model, after one too many experiences with the poor gas-mileage, frequent breakdowns, and high cost-of-repair which made it tough to drive every day. (And while we still LOVE all things vintage, it just didn’t make sense to use that old car to run our business into the future).
We have high hopes for where the new car — um, we mean platform — will take us. Thank you for your patience as we finalize this transition period. We are committed to continuing to give you the same unique, community-centered experience with ModCloth — where you feel accepted, empowered, and able to shop with confidence.

Here at ModCloth, we’ve been very busy over the last few weeks giving our site a bit of a makeover. It’s just another step towards making ModCloth even more of an inclusive, community-driven shopping experience. We’re always searching for ways to make shopping with us better, faster, and more convenient, so naturally we’re excited to tell you about so many exciting recent updates and new features. So, what’s new? Lots.

- We made sure you can find the styles in the colors you want by bringing them together all in one place. Love that Charter School Cardigan, for starters? Now, you can shop every color it comes in, all at once.
- All your wishlists are now combined into one simplified, easily accessible and easily shareable list.
- You can now find things quicker with our enhanced searchability.
- Our new “responsive design” makes our website more accessible on whatever device you choose to use.
- Our website and apps are faster, with additional security layers, and easier to use than ever.
Even more exciting updates are in the works behind the scenes here. We intend to continue our evolution into a destination shopping site where you feel more comfortable, recognized, and have a stronger sense of convenience. We’re creating even more personalized shopping experiences for our online community (including our international community) as well as for our stores. This is just the first step.
As you can see, lots of things have changed… but some things never will. Our commitment to being the most inclusive women’s fashion brand in America is our constant.
