Learn About the ModCloth x Wrangler Collab

What do you get when you combine the iconic American heritage of Wrangler denim with ModCloth’s retro, feminine design aesthetic? A vintage-inspired capsule full of current-day character, available in sizes 0 through 24W!

We teamed up with Wrangler because when it comes to vintage flair, it’s already in their jeans. Established in 1947, this cultural icon and leading denim brand is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. Their decades of denim craftsmanship, coupled with our passion for all things vintage perfectly aligned to create a collection of seven pieces that are the perfect mix of retro and “right now.”

This exclusive assortment gives classic icons like the trucker jacket, pencil skirt, and ringer tee a modern makeover with high-waisted cuts and vibrant washes. It also features three different cuts of jeans — flare, wide leg, and straight leg  — and a graphic tee in two delightfully bright colorways.

And for the first time ever, Wrangler denim is offered in a full size run up to 24W, which brings their unparalleled fit and revered quality to a broader range of women.

The ModCloth design and buying teams visit Wrangler HQ.

This collaboration was a long time in the making. Last year, our design and buying teams visited the Wrangler headquarters and met with their team, perused the vaults of vintage styles, ads, and ephemera, and got to work!

We put our own twists and tweaks on some of our favorite vintage samples from across time. The Wrangler Dependable Denim Jacket was inspired by an original Wrangler trucker jacket from the 40’s; the Wrangler Straight-Leg Sass Jeans and Wrangler Flared Finesse Jeans carry 60’s and 70’s flair; and 80’s-inspired style abounds with the Wrangler Dependable Denim Pencil Skirt and Wrangler Radiant Ringer T-Shirt (available in two cheerful colorways).

‘M’ for ModCloth and ‘W’ for Wrangler: Our founder discovered this forgotten pocket detail on a pair of vintage Wranglers she spotted on the rack at ModCloth’s own pop-up shop last summer. We recreated it on the Wrangler Wide-Leg Whim Jeans.

This is Such Very sad news to me . I loved Modcloth a lot, thought it was unique But i have mot been in a Walmart since 2006 for good reasons. While my few dollars has not hurt them one bitty bit. Now I can no longer purchase Modcloth, very sad day for me :^(

Great investment Wal mart! I’m sure the brand will stay true to self.

Selling out to Walmart?! Seriously?! They know how to grow because they treat their employees terribly! How could you?! I’ll never buy from you again.

I am disgusted to hear that Modcloth sold out to Walmart. This company apparently does not care about independent business as much as I thought. I’ll never buy from here again.

Walmart affiliation is a big mistake, I love modcloth.com and now I am completely conflicted…
