Graphic Versatili-Tee: 1 Casual T-Shirt, 3 Ways

Any stylista can tell you that not all casual looks are created equally. What flavor of laid-back you go for totally depends on the time of day, destination, the company you’ll keep, and so many other factors. Luckily, not every chilled-out situation calls for a completely fresh set of separates—turns out one graphic tee can take you pretty far. To show you what we mean, we’ve asked Styling Manager Rachel to whip up a trio of ensembles that’ll work for multiple easygoing occasions. Take a peek and be sure to bring her tips with you to your wardrobe!

Look 1: Casual Friday

Friday is the best day of the week for so many reasons, our favorite being that it’s a chance to work in some of the casual duds that have been tucked away since last weekend. Combining your graphic tee with a cute blazer and some posh-but-polished pants is a reliable recipe for an expressive ensemble on a day that still requires focus. Rachel’s quick tip? Tees can work for work! A neatly tucked tee can be office appropriate, especially when styled with a nice pant and blazer.

Look 2: Effortless Around Town

Who else identifies as a jeans-and-a-tee type of gal? It’s kind of the pinnacle of casual fashion! Our second outfit gives that go-to concept an update with a some vibrant accessories and a few quick styling tricks. In Rachel’s words: Elevate a classic denim-and-tee look by rolling the sleeves and half tucking at the hip. This is also an easy way to show off a cute belt!

Look 3: Relaxed Romantic

As much as we love when a graphic tee is the star of the show, sometimes it’s just as crucial in a supporting role. This outfit—perfect for a daytime date, a stroll to the coffee shop, or an afternoon of sightseeing—is all about using your staple T-shirt to help create casual intrigue around a feminine skirt. Here’s what Rachel has to say: Knot a tee to define your waist or to highlight another piece of your outfit—in this case, the skirt. A knot adds visual interest and can give a completely new shape to your otherwise rectangular tee.

Nice post Christen. Graphic t-shirts really are becoming popular. Personally, I think they look great with just about anything, however, my favorite thing to do is to pair a graphic tee with leggings and a baseball cap. It gives off an effortless, sporty feeling.
