A Peanut Butter Jar that We Wish Would Catch On

Peanut butter is the kind of thing that’s so delicious, I’m always tempted to burrow my hand into the jar in hopes of ferreting out every last gleefully tasty, satisfyingly salty bit. More often than not, however, my hand refuses to smoosh into the jar for fear of getting stuck, and I forlornly result to futilely attacking the jar’s insides with a butter knife. So, when I stumbled across design engineer Sherwood Forlee’s concept jarpictured above, I went nuts for it. With openings on each end, this jar would save me from the jarring experience of being unable to eat every last iota of peanut butter.

Hey, peanut butter makers, won’t one of you adopt this idea? Please?

Speaking of peanuts, I just made some delicious peanut brittle. Check it out!

BTW this jar is so smart!

But if you could get to every last iota of peanut butter, then you’d end up buying less peanut butter (it adds up over time). So, the companies will most definitely not adopt it.

Oh. My. Gosh. I love this! There are tons of things that this would be practical for!

I use the last of my jars (almond butter, peanut butter) for oatmeal. Make some yummy oatmeal, dump it in, enjoy every last bit of your peanut butter, jelly, nutella, what have you!

Where are you from? I want to visit….and buy lots of peanut butter.

    Makes a lot of sense!
The boyfriend is allergic to peanuts so unfortunately peanut butter is out of the question, but it could work for any sort of nut butter!

Reminds me of a purse I made, with a zipper on the top and one on the bottom — no more digging through a dark bag! It works great on a purse, I am sure I would love the jar, too! Oh yeah – so add some milk (i use soy) to your pb jar, shake like crazy, and dump in a blender with a banana, choco syrup, and ice cubes. A choco/pb/banana smoothie! Sooo good!
