New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks went by as quickly as they came, and while we’re still frantically clicking through slideshows, deciding on our ultimate picks, a few noteworthy designs have caught our eye for their appealing vintage feel. Take a look at some of our favorite retro-inspired ensembles, and let us know what you think of the comparisons in the comments below!

Paul Smith evoked the menswear-inspired styles of the Teddy Girls of the 1950s, as captured in this photograph by Ken Russell. Add a touch of the masculine to your looks with the Got Your Back Blazer or the Continental Cool Blazer!

Jonathan Saunders

Jonathan Saunders found inspiration in the vintage sportswear designs of Claire McCardell from the ’40s and ’50s. For your own sporty vintage look, try the Aerial Ribbon Skirt or the Blue Moon Skirt.

Prada S/S 2011

Prada‘s rounded sunnies were reminiscent of the oversized styles popular throughout the 1970s. For an equally eye-catching accessory, try the Jackie Oval Sunglasses or The Imagine Sunglasses on for size!

The Yves Saint Laurent collection was replete with vintage-inspired glamor, but Stefano Pilati’s update on structured ruffles in a dazzling formal gown was particularly inspiring, in a ’40s high society kind of way. Searching for a formal frock that’s ruffled and ravishing? The Water Nymph Dress certainly makes an entrance.

Anna Sui‘s retro-fueled collection should come as no surprise. Time after time, Sui finds fresh and innovative ways to incorporate vintage style into her modern designs. Channel your inner diva with a vintage-inspired lace dress, like the Sugar and Nice Dress!

Loving all the retro inspired fashion! This is the beautiful thing about fashion . . . It can repeat itself in cool, new or different way.

I love the nostalgia of all these collections. Taking inspiration from fashion’s past is somehow refreshing.

I prefer vintage inspired revivals when they are fun and don’t take themselves too seriously. 🙂 I LOVE the skirt from Jonathan Saunders, though i might pair it with a different coloured top, ina a differnt cut 🙂
