ModCloth + Liberty: Dive Into Our Chicest Suits Yet

When it comes to fabric design, Liberty is the stuff of legend. The London-based company has been dedicated to creating eye-catching patterns for home and fashion since the 1900s. Their traditional florals, intricate paisleys, striking graphics, and other delightful designs have graced everything from dresses to bicycles, and now, for the first time ever, this iconic brand is dipping a toe into swimwear — exclusively with ModCloth!

Introducing ModCloth + Liberty

“I really admire Liberty’s craftsmanship with prints,” said our Merchandising Manager, Nicole, who helped bring these pieces to life. “We spent two months combing through their archives to choose bright, unique patterns that would appeal to our community members.” The chosen patterns, which have fittingly gorgeous names like “Eben” and “Ciara”, will grace the latest styles from High Dive, ModCloth’s very own beautifully flattering swimwear line.

Each of the prints has its own special heritage and story. “One of the prints we chose from Liberty’s archives — ‘Iridescence’ — was actually designed as a sand art piece,” Nicole told us, “The artist layered different colored sands to form a diagonal, scalloped stripe pattern. These aren’t just prints — they’re art.”

High Dive styles are playful, unexpected, and uniquely special, just like each of Liberty’s prints. As Nicole put it, “There is a quote from Arthur Liberty [the founder of the Liberty brand] that resonates with me: ‘I was determined not to follow existing fashion but to create new ones.’ [That’s] how we designed our collection. We always want to be pushing the envelope.”
