An Outfit Study In Blue

Oh, where to begin? There’s just too much to love about Ottawan Yulia’s look, from her charmingly cropped hair to her long knee socks. I can’t get enough of her blue-on-blue ensemble, and how she’s made monochromatic dressing look fresh and fun by mixing textures, like matching a secondhand velvet blazer with grungy denim shorts. It’s enough to convince me to organize my closet by color after work, and see what outfits I can assemble from each color block!

Who’s with me? Or are you not a fan of one-tone outfits?

i love monochromatic dressing. But I’d really LOVE to see models of, ahem, a bit older age range . . . Fashion love doesn’t go away at 30, or 40, or . . .

She looks like a mix between Kirsten Dunst and Zooey Deschanel! Love the outfit, though I would probably leave out the knee socks.

great outfit! and is it just me, or does she look like a mix of kirsten dunst and maggie gyllenhall?

So cute! Yeah, I agree she does look like Maggie Gyllenhall and a little of Kirsten Dunst. The only thing I would change about the outfit would be to trim the pockets that are hanging out of the shorts 🙂

Oh gosh, it would have been such a lovely outfit if only she had shortened the pockets. Its so unpleasant to see them sticking out like that.

love the outfit, although the pockets peeping out from under the trousers aren’t quite my style…

It’s finally nice to see Ottawa represented! We might seem like a stuffy bureaucratic town, but it’s folks like this lovely lady who prove that we have style!
