At Tennessee’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, temperatures soared to the mid-90s before the clock struck 10 a.m. As you can see in the background of this photo, most Bonnaroo attendees beat the heat by showing some skin – sleeveless tops, bare chests, and skimpy shorts ruled the 700-acre farm at which Bonnaroo took place.
With my own bare shoulders and knees exposed, I was pleasantly surprised to see the young lady above sporting a breezy button-up. Despite the heat, this fresh faced young woman looked perfectly chic and comfortable in her pale blue button-up and strapless lilac summer dress. Rolled up sleeves and a loose, oversized fit made her traditional oxford an ideal layering piece. Later on in the day, when the sun finally set, I’m sure she remained effortlessly stylish and temperate, thanks to the cotton blouse at her back. I also adored her choice of accessories. The purple sandals at her feet perfectly complemented her pastel frock, while the icy blue specs and vintage kelly green bag added a few pleasing pops of color.
What do you think of this trendsetting gal’s fashion? Would you sport sleeves on the hottest of summer days?
She also looks like Kirsten Dunst! Cute!
I love the vintage bag! 🙂
Fresh outfit. Love the bag and sunglasses
I love the ease of her outfit, and i’d definitely rock sleeves on a hot summer’s day,
Love this look! And I love that she’s wearing sleeves to a festival, perfect for avoiding sunburnt shoulders. Definitely ripping this look off when summer hits Australia.
Yeah, have to when out in the sunshine or I end up scarlet! She looks fab!
I so have that dress! I love it! I pair mine with golden flats, layered gold necklaces, and a golden clutch, but her look is so chic I might have to change my look up. 😀
i love this!!! i love wearing open cotton button ups on warm summer nights!
i have that dress too yay! hmm lets see… i wore it with similar sandals (black though), a gold octopus necklace, from modcloth actually (that i made longer by adding another necklace to it), a vintage brown leather purse in a similar style, and of course my fedora which is tan with a black bow.
i usually use thin oversized cardigans, but i might just have to steal one of my boyfriends button ups!
