Street Style: Denim Do’s

It’s safe to say the traditional confines of “denim don’ts” no longer apply in today’s day and age. Acid washed anything has come full circle–the faded dye technique is hip once again, especially in a formfitting romper. Overalls, particularly pairs that are vintage and fitted, are suddenly sexy. And, perhaps most surprising of all, an ensemble of head-to-toe denim isn’t a faux-pas, but rather an exercise in chic styling. We’ve collected a few of our favorite takes on styling denim, be it an oversized chambray button-up worn as a tunic, a pair of simple blue jeans to balance out a busy combination of layers, or the ever-popular pairing of cut off shorts with a vintage tee for a grungy, effortlessly cool look.

I love denim. Thanks for featuring it, Annie! I don’t generally wear blue jeans, but I love incorporating denim into my outfits with a denim western shirt, or a denim jacket, or a denim vest (just an old denim jacket with the sleeves cut off).

I wear jeans almost every day and this was a great way of showing some off!

Denim doesn’t just have a part in my wardrobe. It is my wardrobe. I’m always in my beloved skinny jeans, wearing a vintage chambray or denim shirt, and I love pairing denim with anything simple, classic, and slightly woodsy.
