Easy as One, Two, Three

Simple, yet stylish.  Agathe Bjørnsdatter who writes the blog Style Bytes has created a great look with three basic pieces.  Though I really like her sleek black jacket, I’m most drawn to the skirt.  More specifically to its exposed front zipper.  The integration of this chunky, full-length closure gives this otherwise boring skirt a slightly punky edge.  It also reminds me of the Adventurist Skirt, a garment that has always held a place in my heart.  What’s that one item in your wardrobe that always livens up a simple outfit?

Wow. I really like a lot of things about this blogers style!

She has a really cool lamp at the bottom of her newest blog page.

Too bad she hasn’t updated since early 08 :(. The first time I read her blog was around April (09) and it took me an eternity to realize that the entries were from 08, an entire year ago!

I love finding wardrobe pieces that can work with many outfits, or can be used to liven up an otherwise plain ensemble. Especially accessories – I have several colorful scarves that I love to throw on with an otherwise “boring” outfit just as I’m walking out the door, to make it more fun and interesting. I also love to add a pop of color with a bright necklace, or a colored jacket with fun details. 🙂
