What a Betty

(Image above: Pretty Little Pictures blog)

After spending my Saturday in Bodega Bay, the location of Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds, and spending my Sunday catching up on Mad Men, there is no doubt in my mind why I was drawn to this 1960’s inspired outfit.  I can definitely visualize Betty Draper walking into the Sterling Cooper office to meet Don for lunch in this number, can’t you? The lovely fitted navy jacket looks great with the contrast of the white dress underneath, while the white purse adds an extra special vintage touch. Best of all, this outfit is 100% vintage! I’m going to try to create a similair look with with the  Prescott Jacket, the Wildlife Photographer Dress, and the Give Me Number 9 Purse.

So adorable- I grew up going to Bodega Bay whenever we would visit my grandparents in Santa Rosa, and stopping at the church where The Birds was filmed holds more meaning now that I’ve actually seen the film. And that purse? One word- want. Haha.
