With the hustle and bustle of holiday celebrations behind me, it’s all too easy to look at the months ahead as a dark and dreary passageway to spring. But why should I settle for neutral shades and let spring and summer have all the fun? This year, I’ve resolved to give my January and February wardrobe a much needed dose of color!
Transforming a summery dress for winter is surprisingly simple, and adding color to an outfit is just as easy. Inspired by the pops of tangerine and blush tones seen on the Spring 2012 runways, I picked the Down by the Sorbet Dress and used navy blue as a base color. Top it all off with a cozy scarf, and you have a look that will be sure to brighten up the cold days ahead.

I wish the dark days of winter were over *snifffles*.. then I can wear all the pretty dresses I have got from here *sniffles*…. and wear pretty little pumps *sniffles*….
But yes lots of colour to defy the grimness of winter…! Loving the look
So cheerful, and it would stand out so well against some snowy scenery!
Such a cheerful combination of colours!
I love this ensemble! The orangey red and navy are a wonderful combination, especially when life ’round here still runs to yellow and black.
