Inner Animals Move Outside: A Print Stampede!

Hop to it with the rabbit-printed Some Bunny to Love Dress, Perfect Fifth Hair Bow, Never Enough Necklace, Quite Contrary Earrings, and Rose Tea-Strap Heel.

I’ve been told that my inner animal is a meerkat. I guess that’s a good thing, right? Eh, whatever. Who cares about inner animals? The thing that’s on my mind (and that of anyone who has looked at fashion lately) is outer animals–the kind you wear because your clothing is printed with them.

For those of you who are howling, “How do I pull off these prints?” here are some styling ideas for you! We took some of our favorite animal prints, and created five different outfits in boho, retro, indie, edgy, and girly styles.

Check out the sets below and let us know: Do you have a favorite animal print? And, does it match your inner animal?

Polly want a parrot print? Flock to the Pretty Polly Maxi Dress, Plethora of Plumes Necklace, Hold Your Horses Cuff, and Shape of Your Heart Heel.

Redefine safari chic with the giraffe-covered Standing Tall Dress, Only Room for One Cowgirl Earrings, First in Flight Vest, Industrial Revolution Bag, A Touch of Tough Boot.

Every day is Caturday with the feline-patterned Don’t Go Astray Top, Shirley Temple Earrings, Keynote Speaker Hat, Gabriel-la Belt, Peach Bellini Skirt, and Melt the Pavement Heels.

You’ll go nuts for the squirrel print on the Kind Creature Dress, which pairs well with the Sanguinelli Cardigan, Sémillon Flat, Pumpkin Patch Socks, Circle Yes or No Scarf in Green, and Garden Friends Earring Set.

If, after this post, you’re still not sure how to wear the bear or style the crocodile, don’t forget that our ModStylists are only a chat box away!

I’d definitely fall under the boho category… can i have everything in that collage please??? 😀 As for animal prints I was really against them until I almost accidentally purchased a leo scraf… now I’m hooked and cannot stop looking st stuff with animal prints! 😀

I absolutely love the Girly & Indie looks! I have no idea what my inner animal is, but I suspect it’s a common housecat. Or a platypus.

I am 100% a girly-girl, so love that this season is about pretty dresses and honeysuckle colors…also always love a good maxi dress like in the boho picks…

Definitely Retro and Girly…a happy mix of both. ☺

I’m not a huge fan of animal prints, but I adore it when a piece has a pattern of birds with outstreched wings…super pretty. 🙂

I loove all of them. I would typically fall under the retro category, but I’m definitely likin the maxi dress on the top. Something I would never see myself wearing and now really want to.

Definitely in the edgy category myself, though I love the boho stuff too! Well let’s face it … I love everything on modcloth.

I love the indie look, the tights are so cute. I’m pretty sure my inner animal is a giant squid.

I am definitely an indie, retro or girly girl. It depends on my mood and the ocassion. I was happy to be indie when I wore my Language Dreams Dress to an indie film screening.
