Style Skirmish: Fashion Week Edition!

Strap on those skyscraper-like stilettos – it’s time to cast your vote in our first ever Fashion Week Style Skirmish!  In this round of haute couture competition, we’d like you to review a few of our favorite looks by designers who – like us – had a hard time choosing between sensational, color-blocked solids and patterned perfection!

What caught your eye on the runways?

How would you curate your closet? Would it be with Fashion Week’s monochromatic masterpieces, or its blissfully brilliant patterns?

Prints, prints, prints. Especially the last look!

I like the mixed patterns of the first outfit (orangish top with greenish skirt) – I just wish the model looked happier about wearing something so fun and colorful! 🙂

I agree with you on both counts! 🙂

I like solids much better personally, but not any of the examples of solid fabrics, apart from the black dress (which is nice).

I like both. However, I agree with Miranda. The prints are fun, but the solids, pop more! I love the different bright colors being mixed. Because they’re solids it gives it a power vibe. The model just doesn’t pull it off. The prints are over for me. It’s been done all summer.

I think that a mixture would be the best, but solids are universal!

We’re just coming out of winter here in the Southern Hemisphere… so I’m absolutely CRAVING some spring time prints. My answer might be biased but it’s prints prints prints for me!

Wow it’s tied 50/50 right now!

There should be a “Both” vote…

    How about Neither?

I voted prints because they’re more fun, but I like the solids for everyday life! They’re both great

Prints are must-love this season, definitely!

Prints really liven up things. You’ve got to have to at least 1 or 2 in the wardrobe even if you’re not fussed.

I like some of the print options and some of the solid options, but I don’t love everything in both lines! I guess I’ll just have to mix and match. 🙂

The Tribune Standard, Thakoon, and Carolina Herrera prints are absolutely fabulous! Though I also enjoy the Carolina Herrera and Lela Rose solids. 🙂
