Who: Adrienne

What: A 1950’s polyester and cotton dress

Where: A backstage sale at the local community theatre

How Much: $3

When I Use It: “I’ve only worn it once so far, but it’s a must to bring back with me when I return to university in the fall.”

Shopping Tips: “If you’re shopping for vintage dresses of a certain style, wear one you already [are familiar with in terms of] sizing. This is helpful if you’re not allowed to try the clothes on, and can also be helpful describing to employees what kind of dress you’re looking for.”

Looks like it doesn’t fit quite right…the top is a bit too saggy and the collar really shortens the torso….I like the fabric a lot though and I think with a touch of tailoring this could be a really spectacular dress
