The Style Gallery is a great new way for you to view, love, and share outfit photos. It’s meant to showcase all the expressive, creative, and inspirational personalities of our community!
Who: Alicia, ModCloth Blog Coordinator and PR Coordinator.
What: Bona fide Burberry Sneakers
Where: Maggie actually spotted these in the Community Thrift Center in Greentree, a suburb of Pittsburgh. Unfortunately for her, they were a size 10, which could only mean I was destined to buy them. I’m not a big designer label person, but I’m really happy with these shoes, because the Burberry print is so fun on a pair of sneakers.
How much: $3.99
When do you use them: Today is the first day that I’ve worn these! So far, I’m really happy with them. I feel cool and comfortable.
Shopping Tip: Sometimes huge thrift stores or yard sales can become overwhelming and frustrating. The community thrift center was massive, and while I wanted to look at every single piece of clothing on every single rack, there reached a point where I didn’t care what enchanted find was waiting for me across the crowded room, I just needed to sit down. If you find yourself grouchy and wanting to smack the hand of the woman rifling through the belt bin with you, it’s time to go home, have a fashion show with what you’ve bought, and lie down on the couch.
wow. what a great deal!
Lucky!!! I’m a size 10 too, can I borrow them?? 😉
oh MAN I love community thrift! In high school I lived right over the hill from it in Crafton and went there about weekly. I even used to know when different colors were going on sale.
Hot tip they get some great records every now and again too. Hot Chip, DFA remixes … who’s donating this stuff?
