Who: Marissa of Marissa Explains It All
What: Vintage silk blouse and floral skirt
How Much: Blouse $3, skirt $5
When I Use It: I use both constantly. The blouse goes with basically everything I wear, and is perfect for Spring and Summer, because it’s so light and airy, and the skirt I’ve been wearing a lot recently because of how many colors it has – which makes it easy to pair with a ton of shirts.
Shopping Tips: Thrift stores are perfect for unique items that you can’t find anywhere else. Don’t pass an item up because of the length, or because of it being too big! The skirt I’m wearing was actually much longer but I cut and hemmed it when I got home, and now it’s perfect. Always look at things you might not gravitate towards and think “if I cut and hem this, will it look better?” most of the time the answer is going to be “Yes!”
