Vintage Vows!

Who: Kate, Systems Analyst

What: 1970’s Susan Small formal gown

Where: eBay

How Much: $85, including shipping

When I use It: My wedding! And sometimes when playing dress-up (I don’t think I’ll ever outgrow that!). I’ve been dying to find another occasion to wear it… are there any black & white balls happening in the near future?

Shopping Tips: The internet is a great source of vintage clothes! But it’s super important to know the measurements of clothes that fit you (measure clothes you already own & compare those measurements to the ones online). Play around with search terms! Places, eras, names of fashion icons, archetypal & fictional characters, and adjectives can all be used to pin down the style you’re looking for. Save your search terms – it often takes patience & repeated searches to find the exact style & size you want.
