We know that Friday nights don’t always mean putting on your fiercest frock and hitting the town. Sometimes, your favorite LBD stays politely in your closet while you cuddle up to something snuggly. Sometimes, you trade in the dance floor for a well-pillowed living room, or the cocktails for popcorn and a movie. Okay, maybe we’ll keep the cocktails…

The Friday Night In Club is here to celebrate these moments, because we’ve all had those nights when all we want to do is stay at home. For the first installment of our Friday Night In series, we’re honoring the slumber parties of our childhood, where the midnight musings and giggly games were aplenty. Read on to see how we’re serving up all the makings for a downright adorable sleepover.

On the ‘Plush’ Side

Gather the gals and enough pillows to make a fluffy fox jealous. When late-night belly laughs take over, you’ll be wrapped up in comfort as “ROFL” becomes a reality.

After you’ve created a lounging area fit for the greatest of loafs, we suggest getting those party refreshments ready! I think we can agree that a slumber party isn’t quite complete without something sweet. So, as a perfect pairing to popcorn and the pretty prints surrounding you, we’ve crafted a cocktail as cute as it is tasty. Check out the super-duper easy how-to below!

Party ‘Flavors’

Sparklin’ Vodka Strawberry Lemonade

What pairs better with a throwback slumber party than a childhood favorite? Naturally, we’ve added a splash of panache to the mix — a splash of vodka to be exact.

What You’ll Need:
2 oz. Strawberry vodka
2 oz. Strawberry lemonade
Sparkling wine
Strawberries to garnish

What You’ll Do:
Add vodka and lemonade into a shaker and shake with ice. Pour contents into a glass and top with sparkling wine. Garnish with strawberries. Easy peasy lemon squeezy, am I right? Perfect for a night themed around the carefree joys of slumber parties past.

Now, how will you dress for such a party? This is our favorite part — the clothes! Specifically, the ever-essential outfit of sleepovers: the PJs.

A Dream ‘Comfy’ True

So, gather your pals, approximately 27 pillows, some good tunes or ‘toons, and a well-deserved treat, and revel in a night spent storytelling, secret-sharing, and carelessly cavorting around the house.

About Jordyn

When she's not yell-singing how she feels à la Linda Belcher, you can catch Jordyn obsessing over birds, bolo ties, outrageously-embroidered denim shirts, and anything Sailor Moon. At her chillest, she’s watching David Attenborough documentaries or reorganizing her plants and tchotchkes for the 57th time.

Love the cheery floral crewel pillow, but I REALLY want to know about THE FOX. Where did he come from, please?

Haha! That cute lil’ stuffed fox has lived in our photo studio for a long time, so I’m unfortunately not sure where he came from! We love him too. 🙂
