Last week may have felt like an inescapable cloud-covered stretch of dreariness for us San Francisco dwellers, but we were lucky enough to ditch the swath of raindrops and duck into a beautiful luncheon hosted by Wedding Paper Divas. Sure, we mingled with in-the-know florists and picked the brains of all the WPD stationary buffs that were on hand, but we also got the scoop on some of the most exciting 2014 wedding trends from notables like guest speaker Jillian Clark of 100 Layer Cake. Scroll down to check out some snaps and tips from the fabulous fête, then sound off in the comments and let us know what wedding trends you think will peak this year:

On the biggest trends for 2014
“As soon as the year started, we began to see a wave of two drastically different trends, from natural beauty to bold pops of color, all sorts of pretty metallics. Whether it’s a mix of metallic bridesmaid dresses or accent decor, you’re bound to see a little glitz in every wedding this year.” — Jillian Clark

How to style metallics
“Our bride loves to pair gold with blush pinks or soft mint. That color combo has been around for a long time, but our readers never tire from seeing that trend. We also love to see a bold bride who isn’t afraid to wow her guest with bright color and graphic patterns. This bride is sure to put on one heck of a party.” — J.C.
