Art with a Heart

Imagine that you’re a long-term hospital patient. The nurses have trouble drawing your blood, and you have little to focus on besides discomfort, because the hospital walls are bare, drab, and cold. RxArt is out to change that.

RxArt is a non-profit organization which curates installations in hospital settings, transforming them into spaces that are more engaging, comforting, and positive. They’re aware of art’s power to uplift, inspire, and encourage, as well as create a pleasant diversion to patients’ hospitalizations.

ModCloth is proud to carry RxArt’s Between the Lines coloring book, which features over 50 original line drawings by a multitude of modern masters ranging from Takashi Murakami to Lawrence Weiner. So, pick up your pens, pencils, or paints, and commit not only to collaborating with today’s best contemporary artists, but also fostering a more creative, caring environment for patients in need!

About Natalie

She cannot stop decorating (and redecorating) her home, and lives by Robert Venturi's words, "Less is a bore." Fresh flowers, floral print dresses, and a good gin and tonic are just a few of her favorite things.

No ones commented on this? Well i think this is a marvelous idea. i had long stated i hate doctors offices and hospital because everything is too white, stark and austere. I know next to nothing on hospitals and what not but i feel that warmer colors would be far more soothing that bland vanilla
