The Style Gallery is a great new way for you to view, love, and share outfit photos. It’s meant to showcase all the expressive, creative, and inspirational personalities of our community!
Graphite smudges and writing-induced hand cramps feel increasingly foreign as computers replace pencils in the classroom and workplace, but artist Dalton Ghetti‘s jaw-dropping sculptures prove that pencils are anything but obsolete. The Brazilian-American carpenter has carved his mini graphite pieces for about 25 years, using only a sculpting knife, razor blade, and sewing needle.
What do you guys think of Ghetti’s art? What artists are you loving at the moment?
How is this even possible? It’s just too blindingly amazing. Wow.
Actually don’t know what to type, but that is incredible. Far too amazing.
Oh. Em. Gee.
His whole gallery is just awesome! I love the interlocking chain ones he did – that’s a very unique talent!

Genius works of art.
i’ve seen his artwork in person! it was in display @ the american visionary museum of art in baltimore few years ago. really cool stuff 🙂
i’ve actually seen some of these in person because a lot of his art is at the american visionary art museum in baltimore, which is where i go to school. it’s so incredible to actually look at in real life! everyone should check it out if they have a chance!!
this is just so f*cking unbelievable. i can’t stop staring and thinking that it can’t possibly be real.
I love it when art takes something worthless and makes it amazing!
Im in luv with the hearts sculpture… Jus AMAZING!!!

That saw is incredible. I want to see this in person.
wow. i’m in awe.
Wow. Amazing. I am in love with his work!
They are so innovative, and ingenious. But I would be concerned if someone needed a pencil… I’m sure that has happened at least once.
Wow! I’m impressed!
My jaw dropped wide open with this. This is amazing!
ooh!! This came to the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore last summer-super cool. He has sculpted all sorts of fabulous things out of the pencils-I totally miss the exhibit! One of my favorites! If anyone is every in Balto-check the museum out! http://avam.org/
I adore this!
This has to be the most brilliant thing I’ve ever seen.
I used to do this kind of thing, with tiny bits of mahogany left over from a joinery shop. I never thought it was worth anything, kudos or financial wise. If I had, I probably wouldn’t have thrown them all away!
This is cool though, and brings back some great memories of wasting days stoned!
wow. I can’t say anything that hasn’t already been said– incredible.
