The holidays may have come to a dessert-laden close, but if you’re anything like us, your festive spirit reigns on. To preserve our ever-present love of dazzling displays and sparkling ornamentation, we’re serving up a cocktail that ‘glows’ on and on. Better yet, we’re pairing this delicious drink with another reason to celebrate — the 73rd Golden Globe Awards! So, gather the squad, slip on your red-carpet-best, turn on the telly, and pour ’em a taste of this twinkling concoction. ‘Glitz’ sure to be a hit!
The Golden Glow
What You’ll Need:
2 oz. bourbon
2 oz. dark rum
2 oz. orange juice
1 oz. lemon juice
½ tsp simple syrup
Splash of grenadine
Edible glitter (we used gold stars!)
Start by rolling the rim of your glass through OJ, then the edible glitter. Next, pour all of the ingredients — except the grenadine and glitter — into a cocktail shaker over ice and shake, shake, shake it. Strain into a cocktail glass, then add a dash of grenadine. Last but not least, sprinkle in some edible glitter to make it glimmer! Super easy, right? Perfect for whipping up during those commercial breaks.
