Blogger of the Moment: Fashion is Poison

Here’s our latest Blogger of the Moment – Lucrecia of Fashion is Poison. Along with her cool outfit pics, she also posts beautiful photos that make you want to explore the world, redecorate your apartment, and revamp your wardrobe. And she clues you in on some of her favorite fashion finds. Check out Lucrecia’s interview to learn a little more about her, then keep reading to see some of her favorite ModCloth items, and don’t forget her namesake dress!

What is your fashion/styling rule? Any tips for getting your look?
Stick to simple pieces that flatter your body shape and add accessories to give the outfit a little bit of life! Lately, I’ve been sticking to bodycon pieces combined with something that’s a bit loose. I wear a loose top with great fitting bottoms or a top that fits me and loose bottoms.

Favorite style icon?
Can you believe I don’t have one? There are so many great style icons out there – too hard to follow for me! So, it really varies for me from day to day.

Favorite movie or book?
I probably have a different answer every time I’m asked…I just re-read One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It’s a true classic.

What style blogs do you follow?
ThatsChic, StyleRookie, Taghrid, Atlantishome, SeaofShoes, Jak&Jill, Style Bubble, GarbageDress, WhatIWore, and Luxirare are among my favorites.

When you’re not blogging, what are your other hobbies?
Playing with my puppy! Cleaning up my space, spending time with loved ones. I love watching comedies.

Any tips for girls wanting to start their own fashion blogs?
Stay true to your own style, it will shine through!

Do you have any resolutions for 2010?
Yes! Launch my online clothing store and dispose of items I don’t wear too much!

If someone said you could travel anywhere in the universe, where would that be?
Africa, France, Japan, Central America. I’d also love to visit Haiti…to see it all for myself.

And last but not least if you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and what would you eat?
My dad’s mother. We would probably eat string beans and a series of great vegetables grown in China!

Plus, don’t forget to check out the Fashion is Poison Dress!

About Turi

When Turi isn’t blogging, you can find her nose behind a book. But reading isn’t her only pastime. She loves running (cue jogging stroller), taste-testing pizza and burgers, and working on the next great American novel. Her latest homage to all things literary? Her son is named after writer Dashiell Hammett. How apropos.
