Blogger of the Moment: Fashion Squad

I was first introduced to this lovely Swedish blogger, Carolina of Fashion Squad, at the Chictopia luncheon during Fashion Week. After meeting her, I checked out her blog and loved it! Not only does her site showcase her impeccably styled outfits,  it’s also a great source for fashion inspiration from designers and editorial spreads she hunts down and shares with her readers. Read her interview to find out a little more about this Scandinavian fashionista, but don’t expect to find out her secret dreams for the future. She wouldn’t tell! You’ll also be drooling over her black lace namesake dress and her favorite ModCloth picks.

How did you first start blogging? Do you think your blog has changed since your first post?
I started in April 2006, because I wanted a place where I could share inspirational pictures and my thoughts on fashion. My blog has definitely changed since my first post, just like I have. After all, it’s been over four years since I started my blog.

What style blogs do you follow?
I follow about 70 blogs on Bloglovin’, but some of my favorites are Amlul, Knight Cat, What Is Reality Anyway and Vintage Virgin

When you’re not blogging, what are your other hobbies? Do you have a day job, or do you blog full-time?
I love treasure hunting in thrift stores and at flea markets, hanging out with my friends, reading, and drawing! I freelance as a stylist, writer and consultant, and I blog when I have time!

Any secrets to getting your style?
Bright lipstick, cute dresses, sky-high wedges, and a big smile!

If you had to wear one favorite outfit for a week, what would it be?
Probably a girly vintage dress with flower prints, wedges, lots of rings, one of my cross necklaces, and my favorite hat!

What are your favorite bands?
The Strokes, Florence + the Machine, The Kills, Band of Skulls, Kings of Leon.

If you could go on a dream date with your boyfriend, what would you two do?
We went to Barcelona last summer and drank Coronas in the sun at a roof bar on this gorgeous little boat, it was absolutely magical, and I’d do anything to relive that moment!

If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and what would you eat?

Hmm…how about some breakfast at Tiffany’s with the lovely Audrey Hepburn?

Do you have any secret dreams for the future?

Well…yes, but they’re secret for now ; )

Don’t forget to check out the Fashion Squad Dress!

About Turi

When Turi isn’t blogging, you can find her nose behind a book. But reading isn’t her only pastime. She loves running (cue jogging stroller), taste-testing pizza and burgers, and working on the next great American novel. Her latest homage to all things literary? Her son is named after writer Dashiell Hammett. How apropos.
