3 Amazingly Fun DIYs You Can Do with This Bag O’ Cats

Clear your weekend calendar and take the phone off the hook (meaning put your cell phone on silent), if you’ve been wondering what your next project is going to be, I’ve got you covered. While the allure of the Cat Do It Alone Mini Figurine Set is clearly obvious, I thought I’d offer up some suggestions for what to do with this bag of feline awesomeness, you know, besides cover every available surface with them. So grab some super glue and spray paint, these three DIYs are all you need to ensure you’ll have the best weekend ever.

Cat Candle Holder

1 plastic cat
Drill fitted with 1/8″ bit
White acrylic paint
Birthday candles
Cake or cupcake
A reason to celebrate

To make this purr-fect candle holder, simply drill out a small hole in the center top of your figurine. Using a sponge brush, cover the cat with a thin layer of white paint and allow to dry. Repeat until covered. To fit your candle, melt the end with a match or lighter and press it into the drilled hole. Affix to the top of your cake or cupcake and surprise someone special.

Cat Island

1 Bag O’ Cats
1 Plant and Simple Terrarium
Plants of your choosing

Because we won’t be relocating to Tashirojima any time soon, this is the next best thing. To make this plastic cat haven, simply fill your terrarium with the plants of your choice. Add cats. Enjoy!

Feline Fine Necklace

2+ Bag O’ Cats
2 ft. gold chain
Gold metallic spray paint
Jewelry findings
Ribbon or clasp findings
Metal snips
Needle-nose pliers
Super glue

Pledge your love for your furry friends by wearing them around your neck. In a well-ventilated area, coat your cats with spray paint and allow to dry. Repeat until completely covered on all sides. Next, dab a bit of super glue on to the end of your jewelry finding and carefully poke into the back of each cat (you may need to use a large safety pin to help with this process). While the glue dries, measure your chain to the length you’d like your necklace to be, and trim using the metal snips. To attach the cats, use the needle-nose pliers to carefully separate the findings on the back of the cats and slip through the chain. Next, trim your ribbon to the length you’d like the ties to be, and attach one end of each ribbon to the chains, securing with super glue. Allow to dry. Pair with the Purr Our Conversation Sweatshirt to truly get your point across.
