Ahh, the holidays… Entertaining during the most wonderful time of the year certainly has its perks, like dazzling loved ones with your hosting prowess and bestowing upon them a brilliant assortment of bites and libations.
However, if you’re anything like me (in the midst of a swift stumble into adulthood), planning the soiree of the season isn’t just a challenge — it’s terrifying.
I thought that having a curated assortment of recipes for an occasion such as this takes years of research, trial and error, unwavering patience, and tons of time. After all, who has moments to spare in the face of holiday chaos? Where do you turn when your highly-anticipated party sneaks up on your heels? What’s a gal to do when a first-time fiesta turns into a last-minute ordeal?!
Fear not! Firing up the festivities with this butterscotch martini will seamlessly set your fete in motion. A classy update of the classic hard candy, this cocktail takes only moments to make, from ingredient acquisition to the tasty final product! It looks darling, tastes amazing, and will be your best-kept celebration secret.
That is, until your guests start demanding to know how you did it! And believe me, they will…
All You Need Is (love! and these ingredients):
2 shots of vanilla vodka
2 shots of pineapple juice
1 shot of butterscotch schnapps
Simply give everything a stir and a quake in your favorite shaker filled halfway with ice. If you really want to knock their socks off, feel free to rim your vessel with crushed butterscotch candies. Then, pour into a martini glass, and take a moment to admire this delectable accomplishment!
Wasn’t that easy? Look at you go like a seasoned empress of entertaining! The only thing better than celebrating cherished holiday traditions is creating new ones, and this sweet little martini will be one you’ll revisit year after year. (Added bonus: this cocktail will put you at the top of everyone’s ‘nice’ list.)
Now, go forth and give the gift of a spectacular gathering — you got this!
Happy holidays to you and yours. 🙂
