The Style Gallery is a great new way for you to view, love, and share outfit photos. It’s meant to showcase all the expressive, creative, and inspirational personalities of our community!
Have you been entrusted with throwing a bridal shower for your BFF? If you’re looking for inspiration, we hope this post will help!
We’ve simplified the bridal shower by breaking it down into its three main components: food, activities, and decorations. Except, instead of proposing complicated games and fancy hors d’oeuvres and decor ideas that involve balloons and streamers that will only get thrown away, we’d like to draw your attention to a slew of creative DIY ideas that mix food, decor, and active participation among the guests!
Rather than tossing up streamers and tissue paper hangings that will just get tossed out after the party, why not let each guest apply her unique creativity to the decor, which can double as a party favor! Make a few examples yourself beforehand just to get the party started. By setting out the supplies among drinks and snacks, the guests will feel compelled to get started on their crafts. This is great for bringing guests together who may not know each other well. And, best of all, these can double as party favors for the happy guests to bring home!
Vintage Lanterns via SFbybay, Terrarium Party Favors via Design*Sponge, Tea Party Favors via The Soho, Cupcake Topper Flags via Bakingdom.
We love these blogger examples of bite-sized sweets, and hope they inspire you as much as they did us! Another idea? Instead of taking it upon yourself to provide all of the food, do a twist on a potluck. Ask each guest to bring a delectable treat, and then hold a party-wide vote for the favorite. The bride can then chose to have the winning dish at her wedding reception. (And, don’t forget to make a DIY Tiered Dessert Tray for the food!)
Lemony Almond Cookies via Une Gamine dans la Cuisine, Frozen Banana Bites via Namely Marly, Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries via SugarDerby, Lavender and Honey Cheesecake via Roost, Festive Cake Pops via Gonna Want Seconds.

decor tips, wedding week, who what wear wed
It’s not food related, but when my best friend got married she put a small 5 by 7 photo of them in a huge frame, she mounted it with a cream board I think–but she put tons of fun colored sharpies and let everyone who came to the wedding sign the photo. It looks really awesome, I wish I lived near her so I could put a picture with this description.
I am so inspired by the adorable terrarium party favours! That idea is going to stick with me forever, it’s so unique.
This isn’t a useful comment, but boy, am I hungry after reading this post!
