An Easy Glitter Pumpkin DIY for the Decorator That Refuses to Carve

After scooping up some pumpkins from the local patch a few weeks ago, we decided to ditch the usual carve-a-face-into-it technique and try something completely new. With just masking tape, some paint, adhesive, and a WHOLE LOTTA glitter, we were able to transform our otherwise plain gourd into an eye-popping centerpiece.

If you’re interested in ditching the jack-o’-lantern routine this year as well, here’s a super simple glitter pumpkin DIY you should try.

Large pumpkin (we picked one with a long stem so we could paint it)
Masking tape
Spray adhesive
Paint & paintbrush

Glitter Pumpkin DIY

Step 1
Use the masking tape to section the pumpkin in half, wrapping horizontally.

Step 2
In a well ventilated area, coat the lower portion of the pumpkin with spray adhesive. While the glue is wet, use sprinkle glitter over the surface of the pumpkin. Let dry.

Step 3
Carefully peel off masking tape.

Step 4
Paint stem and that’s it!
