It’s that time of year, ya’ll: thy October cup runneth over with scary movies. If you’re like us, you enjoy both the edge-of-your-seat thrillers and the kitschy campy films. Today we’re paying homage to the latter most category with one of the greatest cult classic, campy Halloween movies to date: Hocus Pocus.

We mean…hello! We’ve got a sultry-meets-vacuous Sarah Jessica Parker, an eerie-meets-hilarious Bette Midler and a dorky-meets-dopey Kathy Najimy. Gather ’round the figurative ModCloth fire, cause we’re taking you on a journey through this movie via gifs.

Only a witch could despise a glorious morning with so much gusto.

Wendy_HocusPocus_YabbosA tiny Thora Birch, playing Dani, embarrasses her older brother Max by telling his crush that he likes her “yabbos.” Can we please revive that term?

Wendy_HocusPocus_IdiotSistersThe Sanderson sisters are all kind of endearing, really.

wendy_hocuspocus_vacuumHow hilarious is it that Mary is on a vacuum? Too good.

At least she goes with grace.

About Wendy

Wendy Rose Gould is a latte-loving, vintage-collecting, cat-adoring beauty and fashion writer whose work has appeared both online and in print. While she grew up in urban Indiana surrounded by horse buggies and corn fields, she's since moved west to Phoenix (after a stint in South Korea) where cacti and haboobs reign supreme. Wendy believes a woman should never leave the house without enviable hair and a spritz of her staple perfume. And also mascara. Never leave the house without mascara.
