From “The Pin” by Katrina Solano:
Millie looked down and straightened her model pin affectionately. The pin was the one constant in Millie’s outfits. She never went a day without it.

when i turned 12, my grandma gave me a bracelet with glass beads in rainbow colors. it’s simple, sweet and can brighten any outfit. I wear it everyday.
I always wear my gold cross necklace and my gold watch. They remind me to always have faith and always try to be on time!
I always wear my Tiffany key.
I bought a swirly-colors heart pendant at a museum when I was seventeen. I hung it on a lavender ribbon and haven’t been without it since!
My mom went to visit my dad in Dubai for a week. She brought back a gold knot ring, and it’s never left my finger. I also have a chalice necklace that I received from my mentor at church. Both of these are very special to me. I love symbolism in jewelry, what makes it special to the wearer is always an interesting story.
