Did you know that this year is the 75th anniversary of the oh-so-tasty, marvelous Moscow Mule? And did you know that ModCloth carries an authentic copper Mule mug in which to drink said beverage? You better believe it.

For those unaware, the Moscow Mule is a no-fuss, straightforward cocktail that combines ginger ale, lime, and vodka. Its simplicity, paired with its refreshing taste and the added element of a fun vessel from which to drink the libation, is why it’s such a go-to for many. Today we’re putting a peachy twist on the classic Mule. Here’s the how-to:

What You Need:

  • 2 oz. peach-flavored vodka
  • 5 oz. ginger ale
  • lime juice (to taste)
  • fresh peach
  • ice
  • cocktail skewer
  • Moscow Mule mug

Combine your ginger ale and vodka. Depending on how strong you want it, you can add more or less ginger ale. Next, add a twist of fresh lime juice. We’re using key limes, which are a touch sweeter, but you can use a regular lime as well.

Mix the three ingredients together and pour into your Moscow Mule mug. Next, add ice. We recommend large ice since it’ll melt slower and therefore dilute the drink more slowly. Finally, skewer pieces of freshly cut peach and lime wedges and drop into your mug.

P.S. In addition to using our own Mule mug, we also used the Display My Name Place Card Set, which make the perfect addition to any party.

+How yummy and refreshing does that sound on a hot summer day? Cheers!
