3 Frozen Treat Recipes That Taste Even Better in the Hot Summer

Is there any better treat on a hot summer afternoon than an ice pop? The answer to that question is a resounding “No.” As soon as hot weather hits, we’re officially over turning on the oven, and instead reach for anything that involves little to no cooking. Think: Ice cold drinks, crisp salads, and — of course — refreshing frozen desserts.

Straw-Berry Lemon Zest
Recipe makes 4-6 pops

Ingredients:
Two packages strawberry Greek yogurt
1/4 cup frozen mixed berries
1 tsp lemon zest

Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree on high for 20 seconds. Pour into pop molds and freeze two hours, or until completely frozen.

Nutella-Banana
Recipe makes 4-6 pops

Ingredients:
3/4 cup almond milk
1 very ripe banana
3-4 tbsp Nutella

Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree on high for 20 seconds. Pour into pop molds and freeze two hours, or until completely frozen.

Ginger Cookie
Recipe makes 4-6 pops

Ingredients:
3/4 cup coconut milk
5 ginger sandwich cookies or ginger snaps
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1 tsp shredded fresh ginger

Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree on high for 20 seconds. Pour into pop molds and freeze two hours, or until completely frozen.
