Whether you’re moving into a dorm, or just signed the lease for a new place that’s totally amazing — but a bit on the small side — we have a few tips that will help your space feel fabulous, no matter the square footage.
Get Inspired While You Work
The lesson here? Upwards and onwards! A workspace needs nothing more than a small corner of your room, but thanks to the shelf and upward-expanding gallery wall, it packs a serious punch. Use inspiring prints and quotes to help keep you focused and motivated! Add a small planter to bring in some green, and you’ll be ready to finish up your latest project in no time flat.
Pile on the Pillows
Bed? Couch? Who cares — it’s comfy, and it looks chic as heck. Propping a pillow (or eight) along the back of a bed creates a very cozy and inviting look. Bonus: you can easily change up the pillows as often as you’d like to change up the look of your space!
Encase Your Sleeping Space
Enclosing your sleeping quarters provides a bevy of benefits: privacy, light blocking (hooray for sleeping in!), and it looks pretty cool, too. Regular curtains can get expensive — plus it can be tough to find and put up a rod. But fret not, we have an alternative suggestion! Shower curtains. No, not the plastic-y liner kind, but pretty, fabric-y ones! You can then use a tension-style shower rod between the walls of the space, no drilling of holes necessary. If you want a more boho look, try a tapestry or two!
