So, grab a couple boxes of sweetheart candies, and round up your pals for the perfect Galentine craft party…

What You Need:

  • Box of sweetheart candies
  • Barrette (available at craft stores)
  • Clear nail polish
  • Glue gun

Step One

Paint a thin layer of clear nail polish over your candy hearts to seal them. Make sure you wipe off any excess nail polish so you don’t accidentally soak the hearts. Note that if you use the SweetTarts hearts, like we did, the writing may disappear briefly while the polish is drying, but it’ll reappear! Allow the hearts to dry for about five to 10 minutes.

Step Two

Apply a small dab of hot glue to the back of each heart, and press them firmly against the barrette. Repeat until you’ve filled up your entire barrette with hearts. We’re using a large barrette, but experiment with sizes. Some craft bags of barrettes come with a variety.

Step Three

After the glue has dried, place in your hair. That’s it — pretty sweet, huh?
