The holidays are all about spending time with family and friends, gathering ’round the fire, the piano — or, let’s be honest, the TV — and enjoying each others company. But, there is one little thing that can really kick things up a notch (and no, we’re not talking about grandma’s famous peanut brittle, even though that stuff is delicious). Yup, you guessed it: we’re talking about a festive, adult-approved libation!

You may have a few party drinks up your sleeve already, but we’d like to suggest the addition of this palatable beverage to your drink-making arsenal.

Merri-Mint Moonshine Mocha

What could be better on a cold day than a warm and toasty cocktail? Cue the “Merri-Mint Moonshine Mocha”, which combines moonshine, coffee, chocolate, and mint. And you know it wouldn’t be complete without a bit of whipped cream on top. We’ll take extra whipped cream, if you please. This recipe comes from Old Forge Distillery, which specializes in moonshine. Yes, moonshine!

What you need:

  • 3/4 oz of Coffee Moonshine
  • 3/4 oz. Chocolate Moonshine
  • 1/2 oz. Crème de Menthe
  • 4-6 oz. Hot Coffee
  • Whipped Cream

Combine all the liquid ingredients and stir well. Top with whipped cream and, if you please, a sprig of mint or crushed peppermint candy.

+ Let us know what you’re drinking over the holiday season (and through the winter months)!
