Image via SF Gate

Tired of the same-old post-Thanksgiving turkey sandwich? While we can’t deny the simple satisfaction of turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes, arranged between two toasted slices of bread, sometimes you just want to shake things up! Today, we’re sharing a few fun ideas on what to do with all those turkey-day leftovers. Whether you’re refueling after a day of Black Friday sale shopping, or just looking for a creative way to use up all that cranberry sauce, why not test out one of the ideas below? Be sure to leave your leftover recipe suggestions in the comments!

Stuffing Waffles
Take your breakfast or lunch to the next level! Simply pre-heat your waffle iron, brush each baking plate lightly with butter, and add a scoop of stuffing to the center. Press and bake as you would traditional waffles. With a spatula, very carefully remove the waffle from the waffle iron. Top with an egg for breakfast, or turkey, veggies, and cranberry sauce for lunch.

Cranberry Maple Sauce
In a saucepan over low heat, combine a generous scoop of cranberry sauce with 1/2 cup maple syrup, heat until combined adding a pinch of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp vanilla if desired. Use to top stuffing waffles. Or ice cream.

Roasted Vegetable & Turkey Soup
Follow your favorite roasted vegetable soup recipe, substituting the left over veggies from your Thanksgiving meal for the vegetables called for in the recipe. Add shredded turkey just before serving.

Jamie’s Thanksgiving Casserole
This one comes to us from Customer Care Advocate and ModWriter Jamie: “My mother throws all of the leftover turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and stuffing into a casserole dish and bakes it up!”

Thanksgiving Quiche
Follow our recipe for cheese quiche, adding any left over veggies, turkey, or ham.

Cranberry Crescents
Take one can of crescent rolls and any leftover cranberry sauce, add a dollop of sauce to the center of each unbaked crescent triangle and fold over, pinching the edges to shut. Bake as directed on the crescent roll package.

Pumpkin Pie Milkshake
Remove the filling from one slice of pumpkin pie, discard the crust. In a blender, combine the filling with one scoop vanilla ice cream and a cup of milk. Top with whipped cream.

Turkey-Day Nachos
Top tortilla chips with shredded turkey, cranberry sauce, jalapenos, and cheese. Bake until all of the cheese is melted and bubbling.
