In this installment of Get That Look!, Vasil transformed Susan into one of her favorite style icons: Gwen Stefani. Susan has loved Gwen’s style ever since the very first time she saw her in the Spiderwebs music video.

She loves how Gwen’s looks are always evolving and statement-making, transforming her into a true fashionista with a unique and memorable style. From her pink hair and braces to platinum blonde hair, milky white skin and bright red lips, her daring fashion risks have been inspirational to millions around the globe.

Gwen is not afraid to take chances and go from a very athletic, everyday chic look to a red carpet phenomenon.  She’s a true fashion chameleon. Whether it is punk or retro glamor, she can pull anything off and make it look trendy and stylish.

Moreover, Gwen can pull off any black and white pattern, polka dot, stripes, plaid or vintage- inspired style just as well as the newest trends.

“But,”  Vasil says, “always remember- the importance of having style icons is not to copy them, but to be inspired by them and translate that into your own style.”

Do you have a favorite style inspiration? Do tell!

Let’s be honest… if you saw that girl walking down the street in the red jacket ensemble you’d make fun of her for days…maybe even take a picture to send your friends for more laughs. It is that ridiculous.

Gwen can pull it off because she’s famous and platinum blond. That look is not for the everyday woman.

Unless you thrive among the Amish, these outfits can be worn and implemented into your daily life. Today, I have noticed that no matter your age or what stage of life you might be in, it seems as if everyday women are becoming more creative and finding their own style unique to themselves. I would not be surprised to see a woman walking down the street in outfits like these and instead of criticizing her, I would think, “wow, she looks great and even more so, she looks great in her own way.” Today, I think it’s hard to say what look is right for the everyday woman for she is constantly transforming. Women are taking on all sorts of new roles and are stronger than ever. I believe it comes down to you and your presonal style and what is right for you.

I’m with Alex, the first reinterpretation I like because it looks natural and effortless. The second just looks ridiculously trendy, dare I type gimmicky. Drop crotch, jumpsuit, 80’s inspired jacket… Trend on trend on trend; if one wants to be a contemporary period piece in motion go for it.
