Happy Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month! As lovers of all cute creatures and critters, we’re particularly excited. Let’s just say that some of us (cough, cough, ME, cough) are really into cats.
April showers bring May flowers, but May flowers bring June…kittens. Kitten season is in full swing, so many shelters nationwide are dealing with an influx of them. And on top of that, adult cats often get overlooked when it comes to adoption this time of year. That’s why June is the best possible time to add a little fur to your family. And even if you can’t adopt, there’s plenty you can do to help.
We asked some of the #ModBoxKitty crew from Twitter and Instagram how they planned on celebrating this month:
“I’m taking an all-expenses-paid luxury ‘snooze.'” @acinsav
“With full-on fabulous fluff.” @ehrenwait
“Send me on a trip to Cali-fur-nia!” @femmedebloom
“Bad luck begone; I’m going to Vegas.” @sachan808
“I think I just heard the pizza delivery guy.” @wildandfreedesigns
“You know, there’s room for one more in here…” From: @luna_and_aurora
+ How are you and your feline friends planning on celebrating Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month?
I love this! I adopted a shelter cat and he (Kevin) is the light of my life.
Awww I seriously want a kitty!
Tegan xx – Permanent Procrastination
Yay! We keep one or two Modboxes around for our two shelter kitties to play in. Better than any of the cat toys strewn all over our apartment…
My boyfriend and I rescued a pregnant stray and now we have 4 (3 kittens) beautiful faces and loving playful fur babies!
Thank you for supporting pet adoptions. I think it’s my cats who “rescue” me all the time.
I just adopted Aine, a shelter kitty, on Friday – lovelovelove!! Wish I could have taken home a couple more…
I will try to condense I have a Tuxedo female, she will be 19 yrs in Sept ” 15 ” she was 1 week from being put down. She rode home lying on my shoulder looking out the window, got out of my truck at home and followed me to the house. I took off my work boots and she crawled in the left boot and went to sleep, I put her food dish next to my recliner and she will not eat until I stroke her tail, she goes out on my boat on the OCEAN fishing, crabbing, or shrimping, I am a pilot she flys with me gets out of the truck goes to the plane on her own and gets in when I open the door, if I try to fool her with tap water she looks up at me and squint her eyes ( can only mean 1 thing ) we go for walks out in the woods no collar on leash she chases chipmunks till she accepts she cannot catch them then she goes back to the truck and wants to go. Please forgive taking so much space. This quality of friend was nearly lost. PLEASE PLEASE ADOPT.
